The girl who smiled through tears was one to describe Taylor Hampton. She might have been the go-to party girl and the head cheerleader and the sweetheart but Taylor was anything but vapid and sugary like her image. Taylor hide behind smiles and bright colors to hide her deep-rooted depression. While she danced, she would cry at home every night. She also held a certain amount of jealousy when it came to Mason Reese. It only got worse when he went on tour and Taylor Hampton would assume the worst. Eventually, the sweethearts split.
She might seem like the typical bottle blonde idiot on top of the layers of her depression. She is smarter than she lets most people know and tends to sleep around to make up for her low self-esteem since Mason ripped her heart out… or at least, that’s her side of the story. She swears she didn’t dump him, he dumped her. However, it’s well known that Taylor Hampton is delusional and even believes in the existence of extra-terrestrials. A little bit insane, Hampton admits that she does come across as the insane type.
Taylor’s biggest secret was her skill in technology. The girl could rip apart a computer and put it back together and have it work better than it did before. Cars were something of her specialty. Rather than shell out six hundred bucks, she would repair it herself. Her talent landed her a part of the Save program and thus Taylor Hampton was shoved with people that she hated. Her other option was to risk the atomic bombs… and Hampton was no fool.
Her break-up with Mason also fueled her rivalry with Music Lovett-Turner. Taylor wants to prove that she’s better than Music and often is the type who will bicker with Music just to prove she’s the smarter one. Often times, Taylor does complain and occasionally, she’s the one to report odd sightings around her house. But then again… who would believe what a mad woman has to say about strange sightings? She sees strange things every day, after all, from blood on the walls to people not really there. Taylor resents being called crazy for it when she knows she’s not.
